T.I.G.R.E.S.S - Technology Integrating Girls Realizing Engineering & Science Skills

Participated as a graphic and web application mentor to a "Women In Technology" program being sponsored by Tyco - SimplexGrinnell and the North Central Massachusetts Tech Prep Consortium. This group and other IT members got a chance to help girls from three area high schools to work on a project called "Project Watch". This will be an Intranet based application for the field offices to help with VPN/dial-up requests and approvals and provide an audit trail of these transactions. This project includes the building of online forms and access database for tracking the requests. While doing this project, the participating members are to learn about development life cycle, deadlines, and team work that is seen in the work place.
